When you don't know how to touch type: Keybr

I didn't know how to touch type until I graduated college! In between applying for internships, I would open up keybr daily and relearned how to type, undoing the awkward, inaccurate, and slow method I developed over the course of many years. I don't recall exactly how long it took me, but I'd estimate maybe 1-2 months.

Each exercise is catered to the letters on the keyboard you need to work on, based on accuracy and speed of previously completed exercises.

When intermix too many English words in your Russian: mezhdunami

January 2026 I decided I was tired of my broken Russian, and responding to people in English because I was either a. embarrassed to make mistakes or b. lacked general vocabulary for general conversations. I found this website and the teaching method just clicked for me. It's a freely available resource, created by lecturers and professors from some of the top universities. You read the text, play back recordings to make sure you got it right, take some quizzes, and learn a little bit about the technical aspects of the language.

The cyrillic alphabet is not too bad! I think I got it down in just a couple of hours over the course of a few days. I was reading simple sentences shortly after.
